ABOUT

BEA studio is a free and independent ready-to-wear Roman brand established in April 2021 by Beatrice Sammarco - creative designer & owner.

The brand's philosophy centres around quality design with fashion-forward comfort, and playful style at its core. BEA studio has quickly grown into becoming a unique slow-production Italian brand, synonymous with cool, figure-flattering apparel, designed to wear from the studio to the streets, and vice versa.

Since its launch in 2021, the brand’s comfort-meets-activewear collections have expanded to include swimwear, loungewear, upcycled activewear, accessories and a 90’s inspired go-to basics range.

The constant artistic dialogue between the founder and its in-house graphic designer - Yara De Freitas, and the numerous collaborations with other designers, has evolved into a profound design language; making the prints and its signature styles, one of BEA studio’s most iconic features.

THE TEAM

The BEA studio journey encompasses not only the products, but also the people surrounding the brand. We are an all-woman collective, a space where independent design and community thrives, where uniqueness and awareness are sewn and printed onto our fabrics.

We’re a community of friends that connects to create, celebrate, and grow together!

Sustainability

All our products are made in Italy. More specifically, all our fabrics are sourced from local Italian suppliers from the Lake Como area, and the assemblement is done in Rome, by a local, small family-owned manufacturer.

We choose to work with Italian factories because of the obvious geographical matter, for the quality, and most importantly for the people.

To us sustainability is also about creating timeless, fun designs, and quality products that can be used for a long time. As a demand driven label, our aim is to have a production process with the lowest impact possible on the environment: reducing transportation efforts, condensing the buying of textiles in bi-annual occasions, producing little quantities each season, handling wholesale & online logistic operations from the same location, avoiding the use of plastic from production to delivery.

Regardless of our efforts, we are still far from being a fully sustainable brand. We will continue to pursue more sustainability-focused operational improvements and practices for the means of a better tomorrow.
