Alice Ziccheddu

I like to think every gesture I dedicate to myself can be a true ritual”.

Alice Ziccheddu was born in Sardinia, a Mediterranean island with a strong, peaceful air full of aromas. She discovers a passion for fashion and after moving to Milan and attending the NABA, she has the opportunity to travel the world and work with the greatest Italian designers; she’s currently luxury goods consultant at Bulgari.

The memory of Sardinia, its vivid light and subtle scents led her to found In Aéras in 2021, Ancient Herbal Rituals from Sardinia for Contemporary Care. “Gestures are rituals,” she says, “from meditation to awakening to skincare, I wanted to bring it all together by creating In Aéras: a collection of ritual products for body and soul care. Not creams and oils for their own sake, but the means of a powerful ritual of reconnection with the purest and wildest nature of my island.”

Alice, besides fashion, has a great passion for yoga and the holistic field: as a designer, she wanted to create products that can interact with those who use them, with their spirit, their experiences, and their energy. “When something comes into your life radically changing it becomes as important as any other part of you. Yoga and the holistic disciplines have allowed me to look at the world with new tools while learning about myself. They have taught me how to breathe life”.

We can find ourselves and our spirituality through holistic disciplines, such as yoga, but also by letting go of a “primal” instinct that can be unleashed through music, dance, art, and creativity. Alice explains her view, “this is more than a concept, I would call it magic. Every darkest or messiest moment of my life has actually been the prelude to creation, where artistic expression has triumphed and the order of what was meant to be has found a place. Each time astounding me and nourishing me with deep faith in the beauty of the processes. Disorder generates order.”
Art is another staple in Alice’s life: it has given her the deepest connections and most intriguing stories. She tells “art for me is a very important dimension where everything is free to happen: more and more it happens that when I draw for my work and enter the creative dimension, I remain suspended in a state of timeless and boundless beauty.”

Rituals, nature, and art are the keywords: a reconnection with one’s essence, with the true nature that belongs to us.

Is there a ritual practice during your yoga sessions?

Before starting my yoga session I choose the In Aéras serum closest to me at the moment and put a few drops on my wrists and temples. With my hands close to my face I breathe it in and intone my Om. Everything starts from there!

What about pre-night put ritual?

For pre-night out rituals, I created the VISION line by In Aéras: its botanical active ingredients – Sage, Rosemary, Hypericum – accompany you to the dimension of sleep, neutralizing and pacifying the energies gathered during the day. Not to be missed is the Vision Potent Restorative night cream combined with the Super Reparative night serum. Their textures allow me to treat myself to relaxing facial massages with my amethyst or jade tools.

With which animal do you feel a connection?

The beginning of this year for me was accompanied by two animals: a great white owl that escorted me before leaving the island, and a huge protective bear met in a beautiful meditation with my teacher Marianne Mirage. The same one that I find in my Bea Studio jumpsuit, he assists me: from my practices to my nightlife, it’s a great feeling to wear it and to know it’s with me!
